Singer Will Young has landed his first starring role in a radio drama about an infamous 18th century hoax which became a national scandal.
The Pop Idol winner will play the husband of Mary Toft, who convinced doctors in 1726 that she had given birth to a succession of live rabbits.
BBC Radio 4 will broadcast Mary Toft's Rabbit Tale.
The drama's director, Celia Wolff, said: "He approached his first radio role with great enthusiasm, boundless energy and most importantly true professionalism, learning a few tricks of the trade along the way."
